In fact, the car owner lost control of the speeding Audi. After which the car rammed into roadside huts trampling the visitors. The car driver himself reached Basni police station after the incident where he is being questioned. He is yet to be arrested. Amit Nagar, 50, who lives in Nandanvan Green in the Shastri Nagar police station area, was carrying his Audi car. The car suddenly went out of control amid the crowd just before the petrol pump on its way from Pal Road to AIIMS. CCTV footage clearly shows some bikers going in front of the car. Meanwhile, an Audi car coming from behind first hit an Activa rider, causing the Activa rider to jump to the ground. Further, the speed of the car got faster.
The car also hit a bike and a scooter by the time the people going ahead could recover. Their drivers were also seen in the air along with vehicles bouncing like toys. The car then trampled a cyclist coming out of roadside huts there. The car stopped after hitting some people standing outside the huts. The car driver Amit then left and reached Basni police station directly. All the injured are undergoing treatment at AIIMS. CM Ashok Gehlot has also reached Jodhpur and met the injured.
