Jaipur: Rajasthan Police's RPS Divya Mittal, who was arrested on charges of corruption, may have been suspended, but she is still prevailing in the department. The Rajasthan Police had decided to honor Divya Mittal on January 27. In this regard, the ADG of the department also released the list on January 18. But at the same time, the matter came to the media. After this, there was a stir and Divya Mittal's name was removed from the list of honorees in a hurry.

RPS Divya Mittal has been suspended by the Home Department of the Congress Government of Rajasthan after being arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). ACB Case No. 13/2023 has been registered against Divya at ACB Jaipur under Sections 7 and 7A Prevention of Corruption Amended Act 2018 and Section 120B, IPC. In this case, ACB arrested Divya on January 16 and at present, ACB has taken Divya on police custody remand for questioning in the case.

According to the order issued by the ADG of the department on January 18, RPS Divya Mittal was to be awarded the Utkrisht Seva Medal. This order was issued by the ADG Office, ATS, and SOG Jaipur. It was clearly written that as per the instructions, mementos received from the Police Headquarters, DGP Disc, Ati Uttam Seva Medal and Utkrisht Seva Medal announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India will be given to officers posted in ATS and SOG on January 27 at ATS and SOG offices. A total of 29 officers were named in the order letter issued by the ADG. In which Divya Mittal's name is recorded at number 20.

RPS Divya Mittal is accused of taking bribes worth crores of rupees. Recently, Divya was arrested red-handed by the ACB for demanding a bribe of Rs 2 crore. In this case, the state government has also suspended her. The ACB investigation has also revealed several unnamed properties of Divya. On being caught, Divya said that the bribe money goes up to the top. It is now being investigated to whom the bribe money goes up to the top as Divya says.
