Jaipur: A case of gang rape of a minor girl in the Barmer district of Rajasthan has come to light. Police immediately registered an FIR in the case on the complaint of the victim's family. Police have since detained a classmate of the student. He is being questioned in connection with the incident and other accused.

According to reports, the incident took place on January 16 and the case is of a village under the Shiva police station area. It is alleged that the minor girl was kidnapped at gunpoint first there. She was then taken to a deserted place and gang-raped by three youths. After the gang rape, the accused threatened the victim and left her in the village. Two days later, when the victim narrated the ordeal to the family members, they lost consciousness. The family rushed to Shiva police station with the victim on January 20 and lodged a case report. The police immediately registered a case realizing the seriousness of the case.

According to the information, the victim student studies in class X. The minor student who kidnapped her also studies in the same school. Both are class X students. According to SP Deepak Bhargava, gang rape has come to light. Police are registering a case and taking action. A minor classmate of the girl has been taken into custody. Police are interrogating him over the gang-rape incident. Several teams have also been formed to search for other accused. Police say the accused will be arrested soon.
