Jaipur: The Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan seems to be proving to be false, from debt waiver to tall claims made for their development. According to reports, the land of a farmer was auctioned at Ramgarh Pachwara in the Dausa district of Rajasthan due to non-repayment of the loan. The land of the debt-ridden farmer is said to have been first seized and then auctioned on Tuesday (January 18, 2022). The farmer cried when his land was auctioned, but no one had mercy on it.

The aggrieved farmer says his family depended on the same land. Now, where do they go and raise their families? In such a situation, the family members of the farmer are even talking about committing suicide. The farmer and his family have been badly shattered since the land was auctioned. According to reports, Kajod Meena, a resident of Jamun Dhani in Dausa district, had taken a loan of KCC from Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank in Ramgarh Pachwara. After 2017, the farmer could not repay a loan of more than Rs. 7 lakhs. Kajod Meena passed away a few days later. The bank then sent several notices to Raju Lal and Pappu Lal, the sons of the deceased farmer, to repay the loan, but the farmer's family could not repay the KCC loan due to poor financial condition. They had high hopes from the Congress government's promise of debt waiver, but all hopes were dashed.

Talking to the media, the farmer's son Pappu Lal said, "Our father took a loan and he is no longer in this world. We are unable to repay the loan. We also urged the bank to give us some more time to repay the loan, but there was a clear refusal from them.'' On the other hand, SDM Mithlesh Meena said that the farmer had taken a loan from Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank but could not repay it. The bank also called them for settlement but they did not appear, so their land has been auctioned under the law. About 15 bighas of 2 biswa land of farmer Kajod Meena have been auctioned for Rs. 46 lakhs 51 thousand. The auction process has been completed at the tehsil office.
