Jaipur: After Bharatpur in Rajasthan, now a sadhu committed suicide by hanging himself in Jalore district. The sadhu has taken this suicidal step amidst the ongoing dispute over the ashram's land. Police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot. In this suicide note, serious allegations have been levelled against BJP MLA Purnaram Chaudhary over the land.
Jaswantpura police have registered an FIR against three persons, including MLA Chaudhary, in the case. However, so far supporters have not lowered the body of the sadhu from the tree for the last rites. SHO Manish Soni said that the case pertains to Rajpura village in the Raniwara subdivision of the district. In the middle of Thursday night, Sant Ravinath (60) of the Bala Hanuman Ashram near Sundhamata foothills committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree. In fact, behind the ashram is the land of some people, including MLA Purnaram Chaudhary from Bhinmal's seat, but there was no way out. There was a dispute over finding a way through the sadhu's ashram.
Three days ago, MLA Purnaram had sent his people to dig a trench in the ashram. People dug this trench near the ashram. Due to this dispute, Sadhu Ravinath hanged himself from the snare on the tree. It was reported that late at night, MLA Poonamaram had slept in the ashram with his five men. In the morning, he first got up and found the sadhu hanging and then informed the police. After the incident, a crowd of angry people and sadhus and saints gathered. In view of the public outcry, police teams from Jaswantpura, Raniwada and Bhinmal police stations were called and deployed at the spot.
