Jodhpur: A shocking case has come to light in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. Here, an 11-year-old girl has given birth to a son. After this delivery at Umaid Hospital on Monday, the girl told the family what had happened to her. On the report of the family, the police arrested the accused who raped her 9 months ago. The father of the minor girl has died 2 years ago.

ASP Deepak Sharma said that the 11-year-old girl is a Class 6 student. About 8 to 9 months ago, 30-year-old Arvind Meghwal, who lives in his neighbourhood, raped her on the pretext of showing her mobile and then left. The girl did not inform the housemates about this in fear. On Sunday, his health deteriorated, then the family first took him to the local hospital where doctors came to know about his pregnancy. After this, the victim was referred to Umaid Hospital where she gave birth to a son.

After this delivery, the girl and her family are shocked. The hospital administration gave the information to the police, after which the family lodged a report with the police who reached the hospital. Police have arrested the accused Arvind after receiving the complaint. According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused under Section 376A, 376B and 5/6 Poxo Act of Section IPC. Bhopalgarh DSP Dharmendra Dukiya is investigating the case.
