Dehradun: The Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) has busted a sex racket running under the guise of a spa center in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This action has been taken together by the Dalanwala police station, the district legal services authority, and an NGO. Eleven women and two customers were caught from the spa center in Hathibarkala. The center was run and managed by two women.
AHTU in-charge Manmohan Negi has informed that there are complaints of sex rackets being run in spa centers every day. He said that the raid was carried out at the spa castle located at Word Trade Tower Hathibarkala. During this time, young women were found in objectionable conditions with two customers here. Controversial material was also recovered from the spot. The accused have been identified as Carolyn alias Naina Malhotra (33), a resident of DL Road Chowk, a resident of DL Road Chowk, a manager, Felepi (23), a resident of Old Nehru Colony, Rahul Bisht (25), a resident of Nai Basti Chander Road, Vineet Kumar (26), a resident of Hanuman Gali Machhi Bazar.
Of these nine young women, one is from US Nagar and the remaining 8 are from Dehradun. The police informed their families. Also, a case was registered against the arrested accused at Dalanwala police station. District Legal Services Authority member Samina Siddiqui and NGO director Gyanendra Kumar were also involved in this action.
