Guntur: A tragic incident unfolded in Andhra Pradesh as a 55-year-old police head constable, identified as Venkateswarlu, allegedly shot and killed his wife and two daughters before taking his own life. The authorities discovered a suicide note at the constable's residence, attributing the incident to personal reasons. Venkateswarlu, who was a police writer at the Kadapa two-town police station, had worked until 11 pm the previous night. He then obtained a pistol and ammunition from the police station and returned home.
The victims included Venkateswarlu's elder daughter, approximately 20 years old and pursuing her first year of graduation, and the younger daughter, who was in the 10th grade. His wife was around 45 years old. Sources suggest that the head constable had faced financial losses in stock market trading and was dealing with family issues. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, with Kadapa Superintendent of Police Siddarth Kaushal personally visiting Venkateswarlu's residence.
This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the complex challenges individuals and families can face, and the importance of seeking help and support during difficult times.
