Basti: UP's Basti Police is once again in the news for its exploits. The Basti police ruined the life of a minor by making him a gangster. The father alleges that the police did a lot of excesses with the son; a stump was inserted in the genitals of the minor child, and then the child lost his mental balance and left school.
In fact, a resident of Manhan Dih village in the Kotwali police station area and a tea trader by profession has sent a letter to the CM, DGP, SP, and Human Rights Commission alleging that his minor son was accused of being a gangster by the police on a false allegation of theft, and many lawsuits were also imposed. The father alleges that the Kotwali police tortured my son so much that now he has lost his mental balance and does strange things. The father said that the whole incident happened on July 27, 2022, when suddenly several policemen came to his house and forcibly took his son away.
He told that Amit Singh and Rizwan Ali, the constables posted at Kotwali, picked up my son on suspicion of theft and took him to Kotwali, where together these policemen crossed all limits with my son and brutally assaulted him. Beaten my son fiercely. Then, when he also went to Kotwali, the policemen there demanded a bribe of 50 thousand rupees from him, but when he was not able to pay the bribe, a theft case was registered against his son, and he was sent to jail. The father told that I somehow arranged Rs 20,000 and gave it to the policemen, yet a complaint was lodged against his son and he was sent to jail.
Thereafter, on November 9, 2022, the Kotwali police also imposed a gangster order against his son. The father said that since his son came home after being released from jail, his mental balance has deteriorated, and he has started behaving strangely. He was taken to the police station, where a stump was inserted in his private part. After that, he gets very nervous when he sees the police. The father told that he has left his studies because of the barbaric behaviour of the township police. When he comes out of the house, there is a fear in him that the police may catch him again. When he hears the siren, he goes and hides in the corner of the house. In this case, Additional Superintendent of Police Dipendra Nath Chowdhary said that a boy had gone to jail in the case of theft and that many cases had been registered against him.
