Pali, Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party during an election rally in Pali on Monday, accusing them of fostering "corruption" and practicing "appeasement politics" while emphasizing the party's inclination towards dynasty politics.

Addressing the audience and urging them to cast their votes in favor of the BJP in the upcoming November 25 Assembly elections in Rajasthan, PM Modi underscored the imperative need for a government prioritizing developmental initiatives. He emphasized that Rajasthan's role would be pivotal in propelling India to greater heights in the 21st century.

In a relentless criticism against the Congress, the Prime Minister reiterated, "For Congress, nothing surpasses corruption and familial politics. This party is exclusively driven by appeasement politics and lacks focus on development."

Expressing dismay over the alleged stagnation of the state's progress during the Congress' five-year tenure, PM Modi asserted, "Regrettably, the state's development came to a halt under the Congress rule."

PM Modi highlighted how the people of Rajasthan bore the brunt of appeasement politics during the Congress regime, emphasizing the adverse impact it had on the state. He emphasized the crucial need for a government committed to development, stating, "Today, our aim is to propel towards becoming a developed nation. Rajasthan requires a government dedicated to prioritizing development over the Congress' fixation on corruption and dynasty politics."

The Prime Minister also criticized the Congress for perpetuating conflicts and fostering an environment conducive to increased conflicts and terrorism. He lamented, "Under the Congress' rule, the state has witnessed a surge in conflict-ridden scenarios. Unprecedented acts of violence have marred this land."

Further chastising the Congress government, PM Modi alleged that Rajasthan sold petrol at higher prices compared to neighboring states under BJP governance. He pointed out the difference in petrol prices between Rajasthan and neighboring BJP-led states, promising a review of fuel prices if the BJP secures power in the state. Modi assured, "Once the BJP forms the government, we will reassess the prices of petrol and diesel, providing much-needed relief to the poor and middle-class populace."

Rajasthan is slated to go to the polls on November 25, with vote counting scheduled for December 3, alongside four other states - Mizoram, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress secured 99 seats, while the BJP claimed 73 seats in the 200-member House. Ashok Gehlot assumed the Chief Minister's office with the backing of BSP MLAs and independent legislators.
