Dehradun: People's anger erupted in Uttarakhand against 'Love Jihad'. People closed the market and lodged a protest. Let us tell you that in the past, the case of a minor girl being tried by a Muslim man and his partner in Purola is gaining momentum. Heavy police force was also deployed in the city in view of the huge anger of the people. Along with protesting against 'Love Jihad', people also demanded strict action against Muslim boys.   

On the call of Yamuna Valley Hindu Jagruti Sangathan, all the business union units of Yamuna ghati area and the people of the area closed all the markets and towns including Barkot, Naugaon, Damta of Yamuna Valley in protest against love jihad and the said incident in Purola. Businessmen and locals took to the streets in large numbers. In the city, they took out a procession with drums and protested and shouted slogans against love jihad. They also sent a memorandum to the Collector through the Barkot SDM demanding appropriate action.

On Saturday, traders in the Yamuna Valley area closed the entire market on the call of Yamuna Valley Hindu Jagruti Organization. At 11 am, a large number of traders and locals gathered at The Barkot Ramlila Maidan in large numbers. From there, processions were taken out with drums in the main roads of the city. In the market, angry people shouted slogans against love jihad and reached the tehsil office and protested fiercely. Along with this, they expressed displeasure by vandalising the boards on the shops in the market. In Naugaon, Damta and other towns and towns of Yamuna valley area, businessmen and local people took out processions in their respective cities and protested fiercely.
