Rewa: A direct collision between a bus and a dumper near Shivpur Intersection near The Police Station Atraila and Panwar border of Rewa caught fire in the bus and dumper. The occupants of the bus were evacuated safely with the help of locals. The injured were sent to Jawa. The bus number MP17P1072 coming from Rewa to Bagriha near Panwar met with an accident at Atraila police station Rewa on Tuesday. The fitness of the bus has been cancelled by Rewa RTO with immediate effect. And the permit of the bus has also been suspended.
In fact, the Mahakal Travels bus was on its way from Rewa to Bargarh. On the other hand, the sand-laden haiwa dumper was coming towards Chaukhandi when a direct collision between the truck and the dumper took place at 12.15 pm. The occupants of the bus were evacuated by locals who caught fire in the dumper and the bus. It is said that the incident took place in an attempt to save the motorcycle rider.
A fire brigade was called to the spot by the officials to control the fire in the same bus after which three fire tenders from nearby areas rushed to the spot. The fire has been controlled after rescue which lasted for about 2 hours. Reporting the case, SDOP Samar Singh Parihar said that the front portion of the truck was burnt to ashes in front of the bus while no passenger was burnt by the fire. In the statistics of 11, passengers were injured who were sent to community health centre for treatment where they have been sent home after first aid.
