Amroha: In the collectorate of Amroha Janpad in UP, workers and office bearers of the Indian Farmers Union Ainji Sangh today reached the office of the District Officer and submitted a memorandum to District Magistrate Amroha seeking to address the main problem of cane arrears payment. And in the absence of a solution, there has been a threat of an indefinite strike.

It may be mentioned that the office-bearers and workers of the Indian Farmers Union Apolitical Organisation reached the District Collector's Office today to hand over the memorandum to the District Magistrate Amroha in the collectorate of Amroha Janpad and submitted a memorandum to The District Magistrate Amroha on the issue of payment of cane dues. The farmers leaders said that the Diwan Sugar Mill in Moradabad district has not paid the dues of the farmers so far, which has caused a lot of distress to the farmers and the situation in their houses has worsened.

He said that the cane payment dues of farmers should be made immediately as it is an order from the apex court to the government not to delay the payment of dues to the farmers, but the Diwan Sugar Mill is openly flouting the orders of the government and the apex court. So, we have asked the District Collector Saheb to get the cane dues paid before 10th July, otherwise on 10th July, we will be forced to sit at the gate of Diwan Sugar Mill on indefinite strike.
