Chinese tech company OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated OnePlus 13 flagship smartphone, scheduled for release in October 2024. Louis Lee, President of OnePlus China, announced that the device will likely feature Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, positioning it as one of the first smartphones to incorporate this cutting-edge technology.
This launch comes shortly after Qualcomm's expected announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in mid to late October, underscoring OnePlus' commitment to staying at the forefront of mobile innovation. The OnePlus 13 is expected to offer significant performance boosts, especially for gamers. Early benchmarks suggest that the phone can handle demanding games like Genshin Impact at 120 Hz, highlighting its power and advanced gaming capabilities.
The initial launch of the OnePlus 13 will take place in China, aligning with the country's major shopping event, Singles’ Day, on November 11. A wider international release is expected to follow in early 2025.
In a social media post, OnePlus China president Louis Lee hinted at the device's October release, further sparking excitement among tech fans. Insiders predict that the OnePlus 13 will come with a 6.8-inch micro-curved display with 2K resolution and LTPO technology, similar to the OnePlus 12. While the display may not see drastic changes, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is expected to deliver substantial improvements in performance, battery life, and gaming experience, making the OnePlus 13 a standout in the next generation of smartphones.
