The first merit list of admissions under first round for admission in various courses in higher education institutions of odisha has been released. The merit list was released on Monday, September 28 and total 1, 58540 students have been selected for first round admission. The process of admission to various colleges for the first round of merit list is going to commence on 29th September today and candidates can take admission by October 2.
There are a total of 2, 49790 seats in 1,029 colleges in Odisha. A total of 21,3959 students have applied for admission in the first year in these colleges. A total of 88,300 girls, 70,232 students and 8 other categories of students will be enrolled in the merit list for 1, 58540 students released for the first phase.
The highest cut-off of the BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, in the merit list of various colleges released for university admission in Odisha. The cut-off marks issued for a total of 22 subjects in five streams of college are higher than other colleges. The college has 92 per cent cut-off marks for geography honours subject, which was 75.83 per cent last year.
In the physical science category, 95.2 per cent cut-off has been kept for mathematics and 95.5 per cent cut-off for zoology in the category in biological sciences. Also, candidates will have to click on the application link to register themselves for the admission process.
