Bhubaneswar: Good news or big announcement for aspirants as the Odisha government has decided to grant one more attempt to appear the Odisha Civil Services and Combined Competitive Recruitment Examinations, 2020.
According to the latest notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievances Department, the intending candidates who have appeared in OCSE-2018 or OCSE-2019, but are otherwise ineligible to appear/compete in the OCSE-2020, on account of the attainment of upper age limit or exhaustion of the attempts prescribed under the Rules, shall be allowed one more additional compensatory attempt for appearing in OCSE- 2020.
This shall come into force with immediate effect. The provisions of the OCS (CCRE) Rules, 1991 are being separately amended to the above extent, the notification added.
Notably, the State government had allowed additional compensatory attempts in the past to candidates to appear in the OCSE Examinations following the introduction of the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) pattern in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination.
