Bhopal: 27 percent OBC reservation is banned in Madhya Pradesh. The state government's plea for lifting the stay was heard in the Jabalpur High Court today. Solicitor Tushar Mahata expressed his opinion on behalf of the government. Hearing a petition filed by student Asita Dubey, the High Court on March 19, 2019, stayed the extension of the reservation limit OBC. The court in today's hearing also upheld the ban on 27 percent reservation. In the debate, Solicitor General Tushar Mahata cited many of the top court's justice illustrations in court.

On behalf of the state government, the Solicitor General sought permission from the court for the recruitment process as per 27 percent OBC reservation. He sought to keep the final list under court. However, the court denied his demand. The high court denied the reservation case saying that the court is not in favor of an interim order but a final hearing on the OBC reservation case.

The judge said the court will hear separate petitions filed by the pros and cons of 27 percent OBC reservation. The next hearing in the case will be held on September 20. In the past, advocate Purusendra Kaurava had supported the government and termed it free for 27 percent OBC reservation in all other cases except the six cases pending in the court. The government can introduce 27 percent reservation in entrance examinations.
