Noida: A major accident happened in Sector-21 of Noida today i.e. on Tuesday. In fact, four people have died after being buried under the rubble due to the collapse of the wall in Jalvayu Vihar, while 9 people have been rescued alive. It is being told that this painful accident happened during the cleaning of the drain along the wall. All the cleaning workers here are residents of Badaun. All of them had reached near Jalvayu Vihar at 9:30 in the morning to clean the drain. It is being told that three JCBs have been installed to clear the debris of the wall. At present, all the officers and forces of the police department are present on the spot. Police Commissioner Alok Singh himself, DM Suhas LY, Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari reached the spot and engaged in rescue. It is being told that the NDRF team has also reached the spot.

It is reported that the labourers were doing the work of cleaning the drain at the behest of contractor Sundar. The wall was already dilapidated, and the contractor was informed about it. However, despite that, the contractor did not allow the work to stop. There is a huge crowd at the spot. In this matter, DM Suhas LY said that 'Noida Authority had given the work of cleaning the drain in Sector 21 near Jalvayu Vihar. When the workers were taking out bricks, the wall collapsed. So far four deaths have been reported. Two have died in the district hospital and two have died in Kailash Hospital.'

A detailed inquiry will be conducted into the incident. With this, Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari said, 'On the request of the society, the work of cleaning the drain was being done. An investigation will be done in this matter, if the contractor employed labourers even after the dilapidated wall, then action would be taken against him if found guilty. The tender process of the contractor will also be examined. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of life in the incident of a wall collapse in Noida Sector 21. In fact, he has instructed the senior officers to reach the spot immediately and continue the rescue operation on a war footing.
