Noida: The Power Corporation, which is facing revenue loss, can take a big step like disconnection of consumers. A review by departmental officers has revealed that out of 1.33 lakh subscribers in the district, 1.15 lakh have not deposited money for 4 to 6 months even after the bill was issued. The total number of subscribers of Westermanachal Vidyut Nigam Limited (PVVNL) in the district is 3.23 lakh. There are 20% of the bills deposited in rural areas and 83% in the city.
Out of 1.17 lakh power consumers in rural areas, only 23,000 consumers have deposited the bill. While 94 thousand people have not yet deposited the bills. In the urban area, the situation is fine. Out of 2.06 lakh consumers in the city, about 1.67 lakh are currently depositing bills. There are 39 thousand consumers who do not deposit electricity bills in urban areas.
Dadri, Jewar, Dhenaur, Rabuppuri, etc., come under the countryside and the bill recovery situation is very bad. The corporate officers have made it clear that the recovery will be done in every case relative to the direction of governance. Electricity connections will be deducted for non-submission of bills.
