Noida: The couple, who live in Amrapali Rashi Society, Sector-120, Parthla, Noida, committed suicide by hanging themselves from the fan on Friday morning. Earlier, the youth had informed his sister living in Kanpur through e-mail. Police has not recovered any suicide note from the dead. Both the husband and wife worked as sharebrokers.
According to the police, 34-year-old Vineet Sinha of Naubasta, Kanpur, and 31-year-old Shweta resided in Noida Sector-120 Parthala Amrapali Zediak Society flat number F303. Both were married about three years ago. According to media reports, Vineet had e-mailed his sister living in Kanpur in the early hours of Friday that both would be happy. After this, his sister called him several times, but Vineet did not respond. At this, her sister called her relative living in Greater Noida, and apprised them of the case.
His relatives reached the couple's house but the door of the flat was locked from inside. After making a lot of noise, there was no response, so he informed the police. When the police reached the spot and broke the door and went inside, the bodies of both were hanging from the fan. Police took the body down and rushed it to the hospital for postmortem. The police station in-charge says that no suicide note has been found near the dead, the matter is currently under investigation.
