Noida: A youth living in Sarfabad village of Noida's Sector 113 area, adjoining the capital of Desh, Delhi, allegedly first put an electric wire in his mouth and then self-imposed himself by pressing the electric button. It is being told that the deceased had demanded a loan of one thousand rupees from his brother-in-law. He took this step when his brother-in-law refused to give the money.
The deceased youth has been identified as Ganga Singh, son of Vinay Kumar (24 years), a resident of Sarfabad village. He switched on on Saturday morning by putting the electric wire in his mouth. He was seriously injured in this incident. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead. Pankaj Kumar, media in charge of Police Commissioner Alok Singh, said Vinay, a resident of Sarfabad village, had demanded a loan of 1,000 rupees from his brother-in-law on Friday night. Brother-in-law said he didn't have the money. Fed up with this, Vinay put an electric wire in his mouth and switched on the electricity.
At the same time, in another incident, a young woman named Priyanka, who lives in Sector 9 of Noida's Thana Face-One area, consumed a poisonous substance due to mental stress. He was admitted to the district hospital in Noida in a very critical condition but was taken to Delhi Safdarjung Hospital in view of his deteriorating condition. Priyanka succumbed to her injuries on Saturday afternoon while undergoing treatment.
