Mumbai: In Mumbai, two Nigerian nationals were apprehended in the Saki Naka area, with police seizing drugs valued at ₹9 crore during the arrest. The individuals were taken into custody near Hansa Industrial Estate on Saki Vihar Road. The police action was initiated based on undisclosed information, prompting them to conduct surveillance in front of Hansa Industrial Estate. Upon the arrival of the suspects, a search revealed 880 grams of cocaine concealed in 88 large capsules, with an estimated market value of ₹9 crore internationally.
The Sakinaka Police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to uncover details about the intended recipients or recipients of the confiscated drugs. A case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act). The authorities are actively pursuing the investigation to trace any potential connections or networks involved in drug trafficking.
