Bhopal: The government has given a major verdict on liquor contracts in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the cabinet meeting was held last Friday. The meeting was held under the leadership of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This time, the cabinet has increased the licence fee for existing liquor contracts in the state by 10% in the financial year 2020-21. The enhanced licence fee is said to be applicable from 1st June, 2021 to 31st March, 2022. At the same time, if a contract operator does not re-obtain the licence, the contract will be re-auctioned and tendered.

After this happens, drinkers no longer need to spend much money on alcohol. Now, even at a lower cost, liquor will be available in the state. At the same time, the government has changed the excise policy and now decided to sell liquor in 90 ml packing. If you know, earlier alcohol used to come in 180 ml of packing. On the other hand, Minister Vishwas Sarang, who was briefing the media, said, "The government had hiked the prices of liquor to ensure that the general public did not drink alcohol, but it was observed that people started spoiling their health by drinking chemicals instead of alcohol."

In view of this, the government has decided to sell liquor in 90 ml packing. Apart from this decision in the cabinet, the government has also taken a major decision on the PM Awas Yojana. In fact, now, for the houses to be constructed under the PM Awas Yojana, the Revenue Department will provide land on the basis of land owner's rights and not on lease. In addition, the land which was given earlier will also be replaced as per the land owner's right. It is being said that no premium will have to be paid for this.
