Counselling will be started shortly by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the NEET (UG) 2020 admission process for the year 2020 by the Directorate General of Health Services / Medical Counseling Committee. The counselling process and program by MCC will be released soon on the official portal, mcc.nic.in. The counselling process is to be completed by the Medical Counseling Committee for 15% All India quota seats in Medical and Dental Courses under NEET UG 2020, while counselling is done by the respective authorities for the seats of the states, universities and institutes. The NEET UG Exam 2020 has been announced by the National Examination Agency on October 16.
According to the information received, 317 MBBS and 22 Dental ESIC seats are available in the All India quota by MCC. The institutes for which seats are to be allotted by MCC include DU, BHU, AMU, AIIMS and JIPMER etc. Counselling candidates declared successful for 15% All India quota in these institutes will be counselled.
Under the NEET 2020 counselling process, short-listed candidates for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will have to first register on the MCC official portal. Candidates will also have to pay the online application fee during registration. The registration fee for the seats of AIQ and Central Universities last year was Rs 1000 for general category candidates, while for SC, ST, OBC and PWD candidates, Rs 500 was the registration fee. The registration fee for the seats of deemed universities was fixed at Rs 5000. For NEET 2020 counselling registration fees, candidates will have to wait for the NEET 2020 schedule to be issued by MCC.
