New Delhi: The Jama Masjid in the national capital is witnessing a violent protest against Nupur Sharma's alleged objectionable statement on Prophet Mohammed. The Muslim mob staged this demonstration after the Jumei prayers. A large number of people came with banners and posters, which have pictures of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. After this protest, the Delhi Police has been alerted and efforts are being made to send the protesters home. Police sources said they had an early idea that something could happen after the Jumei prayers at the Jama Masjid. However, they did not expect such a wide performance.

In fact, Nupur Sharma, in a TV debate, had made objectionable remarks on prophet Mohammad in anger by responding to those who made fun of the Shivling found in Gyanvapi, over which there is a continuous uproar. Last week, on the day of Jumei, there was also violence in Kanpur over the issue, after which a lot of strictness is being maintained from Muzaffarnagar to Kashi all over UP. On the day of Jumei, the sky is being monitored by drones, while a large number of police forces have been deployed on the ground.

It is reported that in the mound mosque of Lucknow, Muslim mobs have also demonstrated after the Jumei prayers. Along with this, the protest is also going on in the Saharanpur city of UP. During the protest in Prayagraj, a Muslim mob even pelted stones at the police. Apart from this, demonstrations have also been held near some mosques in Kolkata, the capital of Bengal. This case has taken an international form. Several Muslim countries including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, and Qatar had objected to India on the issue.
