Madhya Pradesh: Due to increasing cases of Covid-19 infection in Madhya Pradesh, uncertainty has arisen over the plan to start a new academic session from April 1. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that the decision to open the school from April 1 will be reviewed again.

Earlier, the state education minister Inder Singh Parmar had instructed the education department to start schools from April 1. Chief Minister Chouhan has now said that the threat of Corona will be reviewed before opening the school in view of the safety of children. This information has been given by Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar.

Education Minister Parmar told that a review meeting will be called soon in view of the way in which Corona cases are increasing in the country and the state. The meeting will include the principals and experts of the schools. The decision to open schools will be taken only after this review meeting. The decision to review the situation before opening the schools is also being linked to the letter written by the Madhya Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission to the Minister of State.

The Commission had written a letter to the School Education Department to review the condition of corona infection before starting a new session. Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar had earlier informed about the entire plan to open schools from April 1. He had said that schools from first to eighth will be opened in all the districts of the state except Bhopal and Indore. During that time, he had said that due to Corona, the students have suffered a lot in the last session. Therefore, schools cannot be kept closed for a longer time due to fear of virus.
