Bhopal: A case of blackmailing a Congress MLA by sending obscene videos came to light in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Police have now arrested the man. In the case, the man is alleged to have been demanding money by sending obscene videos to the MLAs. Police said they have also recovered 3 mobile phones from the accused. In fact, Congress MLA from Maharajpur seat in Chhatarpur district Neeraj Dixit had lodged a complaint with the Gadhimalhara police station in the district on May 22.
In his complaint, he said, "An unidentified man made a video call to him through WhatsApp and made obscene videos. Now the man is trying to blackmail him through it". In the entire case, District Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma said last Sunday that "A police team was formed in the case. With the help of cyber team, police came to know that the accused was in Bharatpur. The police team was then made for Bharpur. He further said, "The team detained adil, an accused in the case. During interrogation, the accused man confessed to the crime".
On the other hand, SP Sharma says that the accused Adil hails from Sikri police station area of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. He also said that three mobile phones were recovered from the accused. Police through this found the obscene video in a mobile phone through which an attempt was made to blackmail the MLA. He also said that he also recovered the mobile phone from the accused.
