Police arrested a woman for killing her 18-year-old daughter for honour in Kurthiya village.
On Saturday, woman named DurgaDevi, along with her two brothers, killed the girl and dumped the body in a nearby hut.
The villagers recovered the body and also informed the police.
SP, Ballia, Manoj Kumar Jha said, "Police have arrested the mother, who during the interrogation, confessed to killing the girl as she suspected her of having illicit relations with three persons".
