Kochi: A horrifying incident unfolded in Kerala's Ernakulam city as a migrant worker from Arunachal Pradesh, identified as Ashok Das, faced a brutal attack at the hands of a mob, resulting in his tragic death. The victim, who worked as a chef at a local restaurant, was tied to a pole and subjected to relentless beating. The police have swiftly responded to the heinous crime by arresting 10 individuals allegedly involved.
The dreadful event occurred as Ashok Das was leaving the residence of a female friend in Muvattupuzha, where he was accosted and assaulted by the mob. While the precise reason behind the attack remains undisclosed, authorities are actively investigating the motive behind the vicious assault.
Confirming the tragic outcome, a senior police official stated that the victim succumbed to injuries inflicted by the group, prompting immediate action leading to the arrests. Additionally, the police are diligently probing the possibility of further involvement of individuals in the murder of the migrant worker. As the investigation progresses, the victim's mortal remains are slated to be handed over to his grieving relatives in Arunachal Pradesh today.
