New Delhi: In response to widespread speculation regarding the candidacy for the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming elections, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, moved to quell uncertainties by officially declaring Dr. Shrikant Shinde, a prominent leader from the Balasahebanchi faction of the Shiv Sena, as the chosen candidate for the seat.
Fadnavis, in a formal statement, underscored the solid backing of the BJP for the candidacy of Eknath Shinde's son. He expressed confidence that their alliance, with Shinde at the helm, would secure a more substantial victory margin compared to the previous general election.
Addressing the press in Nagpur, Fadnavis reiterated the BJP's unwavering support for Shrikant Shinde's candidacy in Kalyan, emphasizing that the constituency would be contested by their coalition partner, Shiv Sena. Fadnavis affirmed Shrikant Shinde as the chosen candidate for the Member of Parliament (MP) position.
