Bhopal: A case of attack on a medical team that spread awareness about covid-19 vaccination has come to light in Malikheri village under Ujjain district. One person was injured in the attack with head injuries. Police say, 'Some villagers abused and attacked the assistant secretary's husband's head.' Police have registered an FIR against four persons in the case.

Shakeel Mohammad Qureshi, who was injured in the attack, informed that, 'We went there to create awareness and vaccinate people, but they did not want to get vaccinated. We thought we would go to them and talk to them, but some people came there with the crowd and a man hit me on the head with a stick. They were about 50 in number.' With 3,375 new cases of corona virus infection reported in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, the total number of people infected in the state so far has gone up to 7,64,338.

At the same time, 75 people have lost their lives due to the disease. The death toll in the state so far has risen to 7,558. A Madhya Pradesh Health Department official said that out of a total of 7,64,338 infected in the state, 6,99,014 patients have recovered so far and 57,766 patients are undergoing treatment. He said 7,587 corona patients have recovered on Sunday.
