Morena: After 24 deaths due to consuming poisonous liquor in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, the administration became stricter and the district is now taking strict action against liquor mafias. The house of Mukesh, the main accused in the Morena liquor case, has been demolished today. This was confirmed by Jhaura SDM Neeraj Sharma.
He said the main accused's house in Chhera village has been demolished. This action has been taken on the matter for not replying to the notice. In Madhya Pradesh, nine people were killed on the spot due to consuming poisonous liquor in Morena district last Monday night. Many people had become ill who were admitted to a hospital in Gwalior.
Where many people died during treatment. The death toll has risen to 24. After the incident, the main opposition party congress in the state had lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Congress had accused the state government of being active in the state due to lack of strict action. State Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary was scheduled to visit Morena today to meet the families of the deceased but suddenly he postponed his programme. The reasons for why he postponed the visit are yet to be ascertained.
