Bhopal: States like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi as well as Madhya Pradesh is witnessing sharp decline in corona cases. Madhya Pradesh, which has been affected by the first wave of corona, has registered 1,078 new cases in the past one day, while more than 4,000 people have recovered. This is the first time since March 18 that the number of new cases has been so low in a day.
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed on Tuesday that the recovery rate in the state has gone up to more than 96 percent. Not a single case has come up in Alirajpur in the last one day. In addition, 36 out of 52 districts in the state have single digit infected patients. The positivity rate in most districts of Madhya Pradesh is less than 5 per cent. Earlier, only 1,176 cases were registered in the district on May 31.
With this, the number of active cases in the State has come down to less than 20,000. Last month, Madhya Pradesh was one of the states in the country where there were more than one lakh active cases. In Madhya Pradesh, more than 7.80 lakh corona people have been infected so far, out of which more than 7.5 lakh have recovered and more than 8,000 people have died tragically. So far, 1,11,67,304 vaccine doses have also been given in the state.
