Bhopal: The Lokayukta raided 3 hideouts of Santosh Sharma, a 55-year-old account officer of Morena Municipal Corporation of Madhya Pradesh, simultaneously on Wednesday morning. 8 lakh cash, gold, and silver jewellery filled in large polythene have been recovered from Basant Vihar bungalow in Morena. The price of the bungalow is around Rs.3 crores. 3 cars and 3 bikes were also recovered from the house. Papers of many properties are also in the hands of the team. The team has also raided the tractor agency at Nainagarh and his house at Gwalior Taraganj where the action is still underway.
TI Kavindra Singh informed that 8 lakh rupees, 500-500 rupee notes were recovered from Santosh's house during the raid. Gold and silver jewelry has also been found which is under investigation. A locker has been found in Morena's bank. The Lokayukta team is interrogating Santosh Sharma. The team members are currently in the municipal office.
