Jaipur: Madrasa cleric and Urdu teacher Abdul Rahim, who was found guilty of raping a 6-year-old girl in Rajasthan's Kota district, has been sentenced to jail till his last breath by a court. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the guilty cleric. The rape of the victim girl took place in November 2021. Special Judge Deepak Dubey became emotional while pronouncing the verdict. He recited a poem written by him for the victim girl. He said in his poem that, 'O my little innocent fairy queen, you be happy. We have sent the evil demon who made you cry, behind the bars till the last breath of life. Now you can fly fearlessly on this earth in the open sky of your dreams, you keep on laughing, keep chirping, this is our effort.'
In the 5-month-old case, the POCSO Court on Tuesday (10 May 2022) sentenced Maulvi Abdul Rahim to life imprisonment. 1 lakh fine has also been imposed. The age of the convicted Maulvi Abdul Rahim is 43 years. He is a resident of Rampura in Kota. Abdul Rahim was an Urdu teacher by profession. He used to teach Urdu to children. He had raped a 6-year-old girl who had come to study for tuitions. Rapist Abdul Rahim himself is the father of 4 children. He has 1 daughter and 3 sons. Abdul had come to the victim's village 4 months ago. Here he lived in a madrasa. He was arrested on November 14 last year. According to the case, on November 13, 2021, a person came to Digod police station and lodged a report that his 6-year-old daughter goes to the madrasa at 3 pm. There Maulvi who came from Kota teaches Urdu to the children. The father had told that his 6-year-old daughter also goes to study among them. When the girl returned from the madrasa, she was crying a lot. The girl's mother and tai asked her the reason for crying, then the girl told that Maulvi Abdul Rahim called her to the room and did false work with her. On this, the police started investigation by registering a case under the POCSO Act.
Statements of 164 of the girl child were recorded. After this the police arrested Maulvi Abdul Rahim. Along with this, his potency test was also done. Apart from this, the DNA was also matched. Special Public Prosecutor Lalit Sharma has told that the incident is of November. Trial has gone on for four and a half months in this case. The challan was presented by the police in January itself after the incident. 13 witnesses and 23 documents were produced in the court. On the basis of all these evidences, the court convicted the accused and sentenced him to death.
