Mohammad Anees killed ASI Shambhu Dayal:Â
In fact, a woman in Mayapuri had lodged a complaint with the police at around 4 pm on January 4 that 24-year-old Mohammad Anees snatched her husband's mobile phone and also threatened them. After this, ASI Shambhu Dayal reached the accused person's house and caught him, and started bringing him to the police station. When ASI took accused Mohammad Anees out of the slums and reached B-115 of Mayapuri Phase-1, the accused started stabbing him with a knife hidden under his shirt. He stabbed ASI's neck, chest, abdomen, and back with a knife. Even after being seriously injured, he continued to fight the attacker with a stick in his hand.
When the people present there tried to stop the accused, Mohammad Anees fled from there. He stopped a biker to escape the police and sat on his bike, but the biker fled from there. He then entered a building with the intention of hiding. Kuldeep, a painter working there, was held hostage by placing a knife on his neck. However, he was later arrested. The accused has been booked under sections 186, 353, 332, and 307 of the IPC and several sections including the Arms Act.
