Kate Middleton's body language at the 'Together At Christmas' Carol Service on Friday has caught the attention of a body language expert, who believes it hints at a shift in her role within the Royal Family.

The 42-year-old princess arrived early at the annual Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey in London, where she skipped leaving a message at the "kindness tree." However, it was her body language that spoke volumes about her evolving position.

Body language expert Judi James shared insights on Kate's demeanor, noting that the princess seemed to have "changed her body language rituals" and even mirrored the King. According to Judi, Kate made a strong impression as she entered the event, with a "radiant" smile that established her as the "leader of the event."

"Kate’s smile was classic, a radiant, perfect Duchenne smile that created a warm and welcoming connection with fans outside," Judi said.

Notably, Kate did not carry a bag at this event, which Judi interpreted as a sign of "confidence." In previous appearances, Kate has sometimes used her bags as a barrier when feeling vulnerable. Instead, she touched her fingers together or gestured as she spoke, reinforcing her role as the confident leader of the occasion.

The expert also observed a different side to Kate’s demeanor during the event, noting how her facial expressions became more emotional and expressive when interacting with fellow cancer survivors and greeting guests inside. "She was much more openly expressive and emotional, a reflection of how moving the service was for her," Judi said.

At one point, Kate even appeared to mirror King Charles, arching her back slightly and displaying a playful chuckle that is characteristic of the King when greeting guests.

This subtle change in Kate's behavior points to new dynamics within the Royal Family and suggests she may be stepping into a more prominent leadership role.
