Jodhpur: Even though the law against divorce may have been enacted, some women are still suffering from this menace. The latest case comes from Jodhpur, where the woman's husband married another woman without divorcing. Not only that, the victim assaulted the woman and drove her out of the house with the children. Now the aggrieved woman is forced to detour to the police station for the right of her and her children.
A woman, who was a resident of the steeple in the Udaimandir police station area of Jodhpur, was married 14 years ago to Sher Mohammad of the Colgate police station area of Bikaner. The woman has two children. For the past two and a half years, her husband had drunk and assaulted her, and now she has made the woman homeless from home. Since then, the woman has been living in her Phar Jodhpur with her two children. Even when Sher Mohammed came to court to marry a woman in November, Sher Mohammed assaulted his first wife and was not married when she protested against the woman. A case has been registered in the women's police station in this regard.
But even after that, two days ago, Sher Mohammad married Pali, the resident woman. The woman had lodged a complaint with Udaimandir police station two months ago. The victim alleges that when she apprised the police that her husband was married to another woman, the police did not take any action by asking her to produce evidence. After the victim's voice, the Karni Sena delegation along with the aggrieved woman met Udai Mandir and thana in charge and demanded appropriate action in the case of the victim so that the woman and her children could get justice.
