New Delhi, September 14, 2023 - The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council (KSQAAC) has initiated the registration process for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS 2023), a prestigious scholarship program designed for Class 8 students. The application window for this scholarship opportunity will remain open until October 4, 2023.

Application Procedure for Karnataka NMMS 2023

School administrators and headmasters are responsible for completing the Karnataka NMMS 2023 scholarship application forms on behalf of eligible students. Students have the option to take the NMMS examination in five different mediums: Kannada, English, Urdu, Marathi, or Telugu. The examination is scheduled to take place on December 17, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka NMMS 2023

To be eligible for the NMMS scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Students must have attained a minimum of 55% or equivalent marks in their Class 7 examinations.

Applicants must be enrolled in government, government-aided, or local body-run schools.

Family income should exceed INR 3.5 lakh for students to be eligible for the scholarship.

To maintain their scholarship during higher secondary education, students must secure a minimum of 60% in their Class 10 board examinations and successfully pass Class 11 on their first attempt with a score of 55% or higher.

Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are granted a 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria.

Here are the steps to apply for the Karnataka NMMS 2023 scholarship:

Visit the official Karnataka NMMS website at kseeb.karnataka.gov.in/NTSENMMS.

On the website's homepage, locate and click on the 'Login' link.

A new login window will appear on the screen. Enter the default username and password, and generate a new password.

In the subsequent window, provide the required personal and educational details.

Upload a passport-size photograph as per the specified guidelines.

Review the information filled in the application form for accuracy.

Submit the application form after confirming the details.

Upload the necessary documents following the specified format.

After completing the application process, take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.
