Jaipur: Violence continued for the second consecutive day in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, even after curfew has been imposed in many parts of the district. Once again the rioters took to the road under the complete conspiracy and they created a ruckus. Acid-filled bottles were thrown at homes. Swords were raised in the middle of the road. A young man named Deepak Parihar was stabbed in the back at a place called 'Chowk of Pigeons'. The said youth is undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where a knife was removed from his back. The rioters on Tuesday (May 3, 2022) indulged in fierce violence in more than 14 localities of Jodhpur city. This riot started from Jalori Gate and spread in many streets of the city. The bike was set on fire outside the MLA's house in Jalpa locality.
The rioters also took out a bike rally with religious slogans and waving swords threw acid bottles and stones at people's homes in Sonaro Mohalla. Local people also had to come forward for self-defense. It seemed as if a different group was sent to each locality as part of the conspiracy to riot. During this, more than 40 vehicles were vandalized and people who came to protest were thrashed. Many ATM booths in the city have been vandalized in the riots that took place earlier. Several policemen have also been injured in the latest violence. Curfew is in force in 10 areas of Jodhpur. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said that the rioting mob continued to do violence with religious slogans and the police kept watching.
He said, 'Violence is taking place in CM Ashok Gehlot's home district, but he did not even tweet for a day. Then he requested not to bring bouquets. Rome was burning and Nero was playing the flute – the same thing happened. The chief minister's city was burning and he was busy collecting bouquets. Islamic flags were also placed on the statue of freedom fighter Balmukund Bissa. The saffron flag on Parashuram Jayanti was removed. At the same time, the police had to use tear gas shells and lathi-charge to disperse the rioters. Muslim youths removed the Hindu flag on the circle, despising it. The incidents of riots started after the Namaz. At present, a large number of policemen have been deployed there. Police forces have also been deployed around the Idgah.
There was a stampede at the inauguration of Khelo India University
