Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced that the state will complete recruitments for 35,000 job posts by October this year. Speaking at the 78th Independence Day celebration in Ranchi's Morabadi Ground, Soren highlighted the government's commitment to connecting the youth with job opportunities.
"Our top priority is to provide employment to the state's youth," Soren declared. He noted that the government has been actively working to fill thousands of positions during its tenure.
The recruitment process is underway for various roles, including excise constables, constables, assistant professors, and women supervisors through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. These recruitments are expected to be finalized by October 2024.
To further enhance employment prospects, Jharkhand has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with five industrial units. These agreements are anticipated to attract approximately Rs 4,000 crore in investment, creating direct and indirect job opportunities for around 6,000 individuals.
Soren also shared that over two lakh youths have secured private sector jobs thanks to state-run training programs.
In his speech, Soren emphasized the government's efforts to address issues at the grassroots level over the past four and a half years, designing and implementing policies tailored to various needs.
The Chief Minister also criticized unnamed opposition forces, alleging they tried to obstruct Jharkhand's development. Despite these challenges, he asserted that the people's trust enabled the government to overcome these obstacles.
