Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Noida International Airport at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh today, November 25 at 1 pm. Today UP is going to become the first state in the country with 5 international airports. As per the information received, the airport being constructed at Jewar will be the second international airport in Delhi-NCR and after its construction, the pressure on Indira Gandhi International Airport will also be reduced.
It is also reported that the first phase of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the airport to be held in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will be completed in 2023-24. In fact, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has claimed that it will be Asia's largest and the fourth largest airport in the world. The airport will be completely pollution-free. He said that a ground transportation centre will be set up at the airport which will have a multi-modal transit centre.
There will be metro and high-speed railway stations, taxi, bus service and private vehicle parking facility. Moreover, it is reported that roadways buses have been deployed to ferry people from Jewar town. Along with this, people are also visible on the railway road, who are going to the Prime Minister's work. The roadside markets have been closed so that there is no problem in the traffic here and the security system has also been tightened, the police are stationed on the roads with full readiness. If some media reports are to be believed, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) district president Bhupendra Chaudhary has said that the police has placed him under house arrest. There is news that people wearing black clothes have been returned from the venue.
