New Delhi: India has reacted strongly after Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif raised the Kashmir issue in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). First, India's representative to the United Nations Bhavika Mangalandan gave a strong message to Pakistan showing it its right place, and now Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has issued a clear warning. Jaishankar, speaking at the 79th session of the UNGA in New York, said that now the only issue between the two countries is to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).

Jaishankar strongly criticized Pakistan's cross-border terrorism policies, saying that it will never succeed and Pakistan will have to face the consequences. He said that Pakistan needs to give up promoting terrorism and its attachment to it. Jaishankar clearly said that the issue is only to vacate the Indian territory illegally occupied by Pakistan. Accusing Pakistan of supporting terrorism, he said that some countries deliberately take decisions that are disastrous, and Pakistan is an example of this. He said that the policies of terrorism and radicalism imposed by Pakistan on others are now consuming it itself.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had earlier criticized India's policies in Kashmir and linked it to Palestine. Sharif had said that the people of Kashmir have also struggled for their independence like Palestine. At the same time, he expressed concern over India's growing military capabilities and said that Pakistan is also ready to respond to any audacity. On behalf of India, Bhavika Mangalanandan slammed Pakistan on the issue of terrorism. He said that Pakistan has been using cross-border terrorism as a weapon against India for a long time and it has attacked India's Parliament, Mumbai, markets and pilgrimage sites.

He also said that it is the biggest hypocrisy for Pakistan to talk about violence anywhere, as it itself has been oppressing minorities in its country. Bhavika made it clear to Pakistan that it must face the consequences of cross-border terrorism, and it is ridiculous that a country that committed genocide in 1971 now dares to talk about intolerance and fear.
