Bomb threats have targeted schools in Jaipur, Rajasthan, following similar incidents in Delhi and Gujarat. On Monday, at least four schools in the capital received menacing emails, prompting swift action from authorities.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph confirmed the threats, stating that police teams had been dispatched to the affected schools. The safety of students and staff was prioritized, with evacuations carried out as a precautionary measure.
This alarming development comes just a day after Jaipur was rattled by threats against its airport and hospitals. The timely response from school authorities and law enforcement highlights the seriousness with which such threats are being taken.
Kavendra Sagar, Deputy Commissioner of Police for East Jaipur, disclosed that the threatening emails were received by multiple schools, including Maheshwari School (MPS International School). Bomb disposal units were deployed to conduct thorough searches, ensuring the safety of everyone on the premises.
