Muzaffarnagar, violence held in district jail in which a prisoner was allegedly beaten to death and another injured by other inmates due to which a jailor and a jail warden have been suspended for negligence in connection.

Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said, "Prison administration yesterday suspended Jailor Satish Tripathi and Jail Warden Subhash Kumar of the district jail. C P Tripathi has been posted as the jailor for a month".

In an attack on June 23 by other prisoners in the district jail, a 34-year-old Chanderhas was beaten to death and another inmate was injured.

Four inmates haven charged by police in this connection.
