Jabalpur: Police have arrested women caught on camera CCTV stealing gold Mangalsutras from jewellery shops. The case is of the Bargi police station area of Jabalpur. Stolen goods have also been recovered from the criminal women. The three women who stole Mangalsutra on the pretext of seeing jewellery at a jeweller's shop in the Bargi police station area are residents of Gotegaon in the neighbouring Narsinghpur district. It is alleged that jewellers used to go to shops in nearby cities and similarly steal gold and silver jewellery.
According to the Bargi TI Ritesh Pandey, Bargi resident Vishwajit Soni had filed a report that he had a gold-silver shop named Kailash Chandra Jewellers in Main Road Bargi. The jewellery lost weight when it was weighed while closing the shop on December 20. Then, when the luggage was matched, a Panchali mangalsutra of gold was missing. When he checked the footage of the camera CCTV in the shop with his brother, it clearly showed that 3 women were stealing mangalsutra on the pretext of seeing jewellery in the shop.
Bargi TI Ritesh Pandey said that after the theft report, the flag was launched showing photographs of women seen in the footage of the CCTV camera showing the jewellery around them. Meanwhile, information was received that 3 suspicious women are roaming in Bargi Nagar. When the police arrested all three and matched their faces with the CCTV footage, the women who were stealing came out. During interrogation, the three told Durga Bhadoria, 45, resident of Kumhari Mohalla Gotegaon district Narsinghpur, 23-year-old Taruna Bhadoria and 19-year-old Puja Bhadoria. Criminal women reported that the stolen jewellery was kept in Gotegaon.
