Excitement is building among devotees as the schedule for the Indore-Ayodhya Devotee Special train has been unveiled. This special train, dedicated to spiritual journeys, will operate once a week, covering the scenic route from Indore to Ayodhya in approximately 23 hours and 10 minutes. It's worth noting that the same train will be utilized for both incoming and outgoing journeys, adding a unique touch to the travel experience.
The Western Railways has officially released the final schedule, paving the way for preparations overseen by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).
Mark your calendars for the inaugural journey on February 10, as the train departs from Indore and retraces its path back on February 12. Throughout this soulful journey, passengers can expect an average speed of 48 km per hour, reaching a return speed of 50 km per hour.
Every Saturday at 1:00 PM, the train will commence its voyage from Indore, making significant stops at Ratlam Junction and Ujjain. Continuing its spiritual pilgrimage, the train will reach Ayodhya at 12:10 PM every Sunday. The return leg of the journey kicks off every Monday night at 9:50 PM from Ayodhya, with a planned arrival in Indore at 8:05 PM on Tuesdays.
The train's route from Indore encompasses stops at key stations such as Ratlam, Nagda Junction, Ujjain, Maksi, Bairagarh (Sant Hirdaram Nagar), Bina, Jhansi, Urai, Kanpur, Lucknow, and culminating at Ayodhya. The return journey will mirror these stops, ensuring a seamless round-trip experience.
It's important to note that the train will bypass Bhopal Main Station. Passengers traveling from Bhopal to Ayodhya are advised to board the train from Bairagarh (Sant Hirdaram Nagar) to join this spiritual expedition.
