The corona epidemic has caused a hue and cry in the country and all over the world. Since the beginning of the epidemic, a variety of drugs have been used to treat it, initially the medicine Zidovudine used to treat AIDS, followed by hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir injection, etc., but the result  was not upto the mark of expectation. After that, the entire hope focused on oxygen cylinder and ventilator, but it was not everyone's job to manage it because of the black marketing and hoarding of some hospitals.

Although there was some hope for plasma, the World Health Organization (WHO) has also excluded the vaccine from corona treatment after plasma therapy was neutralized. After that, India certainly got an effective weapon to beat corona, but vaccination of a country with a population of 1.35 crore people was no less than a herculean task.

Though vaccination is going on, in the meantime, the institution that comes forward to protect the country, which stands at the forefront of the storm, when floods wreak havoc, border war etc. The Indian Army, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Indian Army, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)  who are working on a war footing in this epidemic, has set up several hospitals for patients and provided other assistance, but the most important of all is the medicine (2-DG) of DRDO which is proving to be a 'sanjivani' for corona patients today.

We are pointing out about a patient who had been infected from Coivd and hospitlized for more then a month.  Her oxygen levels were constantly declining.

Santosh Goyal, 70, from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was admitted to CHL Hospital on April 14 after she was found corona positive. However, after taking treatment, her Covid-19 report came out negative in the first week of May and she was discharged on May 14. But on reaching home, Mrs. Goyal started having severe breathing problems, thereafter she was admitted again to the CHL hospital as a post-covid patient, who was placed on 30 litre oxygen support due to low oxygen levels. But even after that, her health was not improving, even after all the efforts, the family members of Mrs. Goyal were also very worried. More than 38 days had passed and Mrs Goyal's oxygen level was hovering around 75 to 80, while her family came to know about the medicine made by the DRDO from somewhere. The family members referred the matter to the DRDO as a case study in view of the serious situation and requested them to provide medicines DG 2.

Subsequently, 4 sachets of 2-DG medicine were given to the Goyal family from Delhi DRDO, when its first sachet was given to Mrs. Goyal last Sunday (May 23rd), a few hours later, there was a miraculous change in her health. Goyal, who had been lying on bed for the past one month, was stunned when doctors checked her oxygen level, her oxygen level had reached 94-95 with just one dose, which belongs to a healthy human being. The hard work of the doctors as well as the Goyal family paid off and they thanked the DRDO and the Government of India for this medicine.

Let us tell you that 70-year-old Smt. Goyal, who has earlier fought diseases like breast cancer, heart disease, has heart pumping and arthritis, sugar, BP, hyper tension. But even after being hit by an epidemic like corona, she did not give up and fought the infection with positive thinking, finally sitting on her bed and DRDO and thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi when she felt her health improved. Today, Mrs. Goyal has become an inspiration for all the people of the country. A message to these people today is clear that no matter how terrible the epidemic may be, it can not only be fought but can also be won with courage and family support.
