Indore: At least three people have died after consuming liquor in Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh, and the administration has started an investigation and sealed it twice. Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Jain informed on Wednesday that Sagar (30), Shishir Tiwari (30), and Sachin Gupta (39) have lost their lives after a liquor party at two different bars in the city during the last five days.
He said, in the postmortem report of Tiwari's body, doctors have suspected death due to consumption of a poisonous object. He said Sagar's family had taken his body to Maharashtra for cremation without informing the police immediately after his death. Jain has said, "The police are investigating all aspects. But it is not right to conclude before the investigation is over that the three men succumbed to consuming poisonous liquor. ''
Meanwhile, Assistant Excise Commissioner Rajnarayan Soni said that Sagar and Tiwari had joined their friends at a bar in the Chhota Bangada area while Gupta had consumed liquor at a bar in the Marimata area. He said that in view of the ongoing police investigation, both the bars have been sealed and samples of liquor have been taken from there and sent for investigation.
