The country adopted its Constitution on January 26, 1950, declaring itself a Sovereign, Democratic, and Republic state. This milestone marked the transition from a British dominion to a republic, giving citizens the power to choose their own government and paving the way for democracy.

This grand occasion will showcase the nation’s cultural diversity, military strength, and development through a spectacular parade held at Kartavya Path near India Gate in New Delhi. The event is set to highlight India’s journey of progress and unity over the past 75 years.

Tickets for the Republic Day parade, accommodating approximately 77,000 spectators, were made available both online and offline. The Ministry of Defence’s Amantran Portal (aamantran.mod.gov.in) facilitated online ticket sales, while offline counters were set up at various locations, including Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Pragati Maidan, and Rajiv Chowk Metro Station.

The celebrations will conclude on January 29 with the Beating Retreat Ceremony, which is another major highlight. Tickets for this ceremony, priced at Rs.100, are accessible via the Amantran Portal and the MSeva Mobile App.
